TL;DR
Senior Technical Program Manager (Aerospace): Managing and delivering spacecraft technology programs spanning component upgrades, component design, and integration into current and next-generation spacecraft with an accent on cross-functional execution, portfolio planning, budgets, schedules, and technical requirements. Focus on translating technical scope into delivery plans, managing risks and dependencies, prioritizing complex R&D programs, and driving on-orbit capabilities.

Location: Louisville, Colorado, United States. U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain the required export authorizations is required for ITAR- and government-controlled technology.

Salary: $126,887–$181,949 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Lead technology programs through planning, execution, stakeholder management, issue resolution, and closure.
  • Manage a portfolio of technical development projects, schedules, status reporting, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee spacecraft component upgrades, component design, and integration with current and next-generation spacecraft.
  • Manage labor forecasts, actuals, materials, subcontractors, budgets, risks, opportunities, and dependencies.
  • Translate technical requirements into delivery plans and identify critical-path actions to accelerate progress.
  • Mentor project resources and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related technical field; a business degree is acceptable with aerospace experience.
  • Experience managing technical development or R&D scope and complex budgets.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements, including U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain applicable authorizations.
