Technical Program Manager, Aviation Delivery

Location: Carlsbad, California, or remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island. A valid work permit or visa for the country of work is required.

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end software delivery requests for commercial and business aviation customers, from inception through Entry Into Service.
• Build and maintain delivery plans spanning aviation accounts, timelines, requirements, dependencies, and milestones.
• Coordinate planning and review meetings with stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, partners, and customers.
• Normalize and validate requirements across intake and development tools such as JIRA and Monday.com.
• Track and report delivery progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and success metrics across teams.
• Lead mitigation plans, escalate issues when needed, capture lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
• 5–10 years of project management experience focused on software development.
• At least 4 years of experience as a software or systems engineer on product development projects.
• Experience monitoring and leading project milestones, risks, issues, decisions, scope, deliverables, and change control.
• Experience with project management methodologies, Agile development frameworks, and standard processes.
• Ability to understand sophisticated systems at the architectural level and lead communications with teams, partners, leadership, and customers.

Nice to have

• Experience in the commercial or business aviation industry.
• Experience with scaled Agile implementations.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• US citizenship or permanent residency.
