TL;DR
Senior Technical Program Manager (Robotics): Leading complex hardware programs from early definition through production launch and operational handoff with an accent on supply chain, external manufacturing, and cross-functional execution. Focus on building scalable production processes, managing critical paths and partner commitments, and solving schedule, cost, quality, and capacity challenges across robotics manufacturing.

Location: Hybrid position based in Fremont, California, with three days per week onsite; all roles are U.S.-based. Approximately 50% travel to company facilities, manufacturing and supplier sites, and customer locations, including occasional international travel.

Salary: $181,000–$235,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Own complex programs across engineering, operations, supply chain, and external partners from scope definition through launch and handoff.
  • Define plans, milestones, governance cadences, and reusable processes for programs with significant ambiguity.
  • Translate hardware development and build plans into sourcing, capacity, manufacturing readiness, and production commitments.
  • Manage manufacturing partners and suppliers, including statements of work, build schedules, tooling, quality, yield, and escalations.
  • Maintain integrated schedules, critical paths, dependency maps, risk registers, and formal change control.
  • Provide leadership with concise updates on program health, timelines, costs, and execution risks while coordinating cross-functional priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical program management, manufacturing program management, or supply chain program management for complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Working knowledge of hardware development phases including EVT, DVT, and PVT.
  • Direct experience managing programs with external manufacturing partners.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar program-management tools. Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field.
  • Experience scaling manufacturing capacity through partner evaluation, transfer planning, and partnership governance.
  • Background in consumer electronics, connected devices, appliances, or medical devices.
  • Knowledge of cost models, tooling and NRE, capacity planning, PPAP, FAI, and CAPA.
  • Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, or complex hardware-software products.
