TL;DR
Senior Technical Program Manager (Robotics): Orchestrating complex programs that bring autonomous heavy machinery from development into physical-world deployments with an accent on robotics, hardware-software integration, safety, and operational reliability. Focus on defining roadmaps, managing architecture and cross-team dependencies, and driving integration, testing, deployment, and customer readiness across challenging field environments.
Location: Seattle, United States. Travel to customer sites, OEM partners, and global deployments is required.
Salary: $150K–$200K annually.
Company
Builds autonomous heavy machinery that combines robotics, software, electronics, mechanics, perception, and mission-critical infrastructure for construction and earthmoving.
What you will do
- Own roadmaps and end-to-end delivery for complex programs spanning hardware, robotics, autonomy, and cloud infrastructure.
- Define program missions, requirements, success metrics, and long-term goals based on customer and field-operation needs.
- Lead technical discussions across hardware interfaces, perception pipelines, control systems, on-machine compute, system health, and data flows.
- Manage requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance while mitigating risks and clearing blockers.
- Coordinate engineering, field operations, deployment teams, OEM partners, vendors, and customers across global time zones.
- Improve mechanisms for safety, availability, testability, serviceability, operational readiness, and predictable delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
- 7+ years of technical program management, engineering management, robotics deployment, or equivalent cross-functional experience.
- Proven experience delivering complex cross-disciplinary engineering programs from inception through deployment.
- Experience with hardware, firmware, robotics, or mission-critical software, including the ability to evaluate system designs and technical trade-offs.
- Experience with engineering processes such as sprints, operational readiness reviews, incident management, testing, QA, or deployment readiness.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, OEM partners, and global deployments.
Nice to have
- Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, industrial controls, heavy machinery, or hardware-software systems.
- Experience with GNSS/INS, LiDAR, perception systems, real-time embedded systems, or machine safety.
- Experience leading high-risk field deployments or customer-facing technical operations.
- Experience with OEM partnerships or government and enterprise programs with high compliance requirements.
- Experience with PR/FAQ, 6-pagers, risk matrices, design reviews, and operational readiness frameworks.
Culture & Benefits
- Work on autonomy and industrial robotics programs with direct impact on automated construction.
- Cross-functional scope across engineering, product, operations, field teams, customers, and partners.
- Competitive compensation with equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance.
- Travel opportunities across the United States, Europe, Australia, Africa, South America, and emerging markets.
- Growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling, mission-driven company.
