Licensed Optician (Optical Retail)

Location: Freehold, New Jersey, United States; onsite retail position

Salary: USD 24.50–33.41 per hour

What you will do

• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, including contact lens insertion and removal training.
• Educate customers on optical products and provide attentive patient service.
• Meet sales goals and support store performance and company objectives.
• Maintain patient records, order follow-up, customer notifications, and weekly outreach.
• Reduce remakes, follow safety standards, control inventory, and maintain merchandising and store organization.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Active dispensing license required by the relevant state
• At least 3 years of related experience or training required
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills.
• Confident selling skills and the ability to meet store goals.
• Organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a professional approach.

• Previous retail experience.
