Optician, Dual-Licensed – Sam’s Club (OH & SC only)

Location: Onsite at 4900 Centre Pointe Dr, North Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The position is limited to Ohio and South Carolina.

Hourly wage: $35.00–$43.00 per hour. Additional premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour may apply in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Assist members with optical purchasing decisions, product selection, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses and complete eyewear and contact lens orders.
• Verify prescription information, collect payments for doctor services, and perform and record optometric pretest results.
• Stock, organize, clean, price, and secure optical merchandise and displays.
• Maintain the optical sales floor, handle claims and returns, identify damaged or high-shrink merchandise, and complete required logs and paperwork.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support team development, and uphold company standards for integrity, compliance, and member service.

Requirements

• Dual licensure required for the position.
• Work must be performed onsite at the North Charleston, South Carolina location.
• Ability to assist with eyewear and contact lens orders, prescription verification, frame and lens adjustment and repair, and optometric pretests.
• Ability to operate cash registers and related equipment and process different membership and payment types.
• Ability to maintain optical merchandise, complete documentation, and follow company procedures.
