Optometrist (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Annual salary: $135,000–$200,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible Regional Pay Zone compensation.

What you will do

• Provide evidence-based vision care, routine examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and patient follow-up.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity, visual function, eye health, keratometry, and refraction assessments.
• Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic tests such as glaucoma testing, macular degeneration screening, and Optical Coherence Tomography.
• Coordinate patient care with ophthalmologists, healthcare professionals, pharmacists, clinics, opticians, and store management.
• Maintain confidential patient records, support vision center staff, perform necessary administrative and retail tasks, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
• Current optometrist license in good standing in the state of practice.
• Ability to perform comprehensive eye examinations and provide diagnosis and treatment within the scope of optometry practice.
• Ability to follow state, local, and federal healthcare regulations and evidence-based care guidelines.
