Special Operations Licensed Clinical Social Worker (AFSOC Unit / Fort Bragg, NC)

Location: Fort Liberty, North Carolina, United States; the position offers relocation.

What you will do

• Provide clinical social work and behavioral health support for Special Operations service members and their families.
• Conduct clinical assessments, applied research, and investigations in behavioral health and organizational social work.
• Assess treatment adherence, symptom severity, barriers to care, and patient education needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records, patient registries, treatment notes, and evaluation reports.
• Coordinate difficult cases with medical providers, behavioral health consultants, psychiatry consultants, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, staff meetings, conferences, military training, and case management.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Secret clearance required or the ability to obtain one.
• Master of Social Work or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited graduate school of social work.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in a U.S. state or territory, with local MTF credentialing in good standing.
• At least two years of peer-reviewable clinical social work experience in a mental health setting, including brief behavioral interventions.
• Fluent written and spoken English required; current American Heart Association BCLS certification must be maintained.

Nice to have

• Experience in a government setting, such as the Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs.
