Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, United States; approximately 25% travel is expected.

What you will do

• Manage and administer Authority to Operate packages across the STARE cybersecurity portfolio.
• Assess the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data.
• Apply and enforce Department of Defense and Army cybersecurity standards throughout the system lifecycle.
• Coordinate cybersecurity tasks, work plans, policies, procedures, training, and security testing events.
• Maintain communication between program offices, STARE staff, engineers, customers, and external organizations.
• Prepare briefings, support engineering meetings, coordinate schedules and teleconferences, and respond to high-priority cybersecurity requests.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
• Experience with DoD information technology, cybersecurity practices, Authorization and Accreditation package management, and Risk Management Framework processes.
• Knowledge of Army cybersecurity procedures, NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-37, and cybersecurity governance.
• Experience with security vulnerability and scanning tools such as ACAS, STIG Viewer, Evaluate_STIG, and SCAP.
