Senior Cybersecurity Engineer I - Secret Clearance (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $130,000–$198,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for program networks, servers, applications, and other IT infrastructure.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests, then mitigate identified risks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with regulations and industry best practices.
• Monitor security systems, investigate incidents, and provide detailed remediation recommendations.
• Integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle in collaboration with IT and development teams.
• Track emerging threats and technologies while mentoring junior security engineers and IT staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Active Secret security clearance required upon hire.
• At least 5 years of experience in system security engineering or a related role.
• 8140 Intermediate or Advanced certification, such as Security+, Cloud+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. ITAR work-authorization requirements also apply.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience with DevSecOps, incident response, digital forensics, and security automation.
• Familiarity with Python or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and application security.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
