Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Integrate classified cyber security activities with program management to execute strategic security goals across assigned DoD portfolios.
• Support offsite program personnel with U.S. Government certification requirements, training, and security compliance.
• Lead and mentor cyber security professionals and serve as the primary liaison with government Authorizing Officials.
• Interpret JSIG requirements, conduct cyber risk and vulnerability assessments, evaluate mitigations, and implement the Risk Management Framework.
• Develop authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring documentation for networked and standalone classified systems.
• Coordinate monitoring with SIEM and cyber security tools, manage configurations, investigate security events, and oversee secure architectures and technical solutions.

Requirements

• Graduate degree with at least 5 years of related experience, or a STEM bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification, such as CISSP, CISM, or GSLC.
• Expertise in FIPS, NIST SP 800 series, JSIG, DAAPM, and/or ICD security standards and frameworks.
• Experience with classified, collateral, SAP, and/or SCI environments; authorization and approval of classified information systems; and management of people and technical resources.
• Strong communication, documentation, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
• Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements; eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with SIEM and compliance scanning tools such as Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SCC SCAP, SolarWinds, STIG Viewer, or Vulnerator.
• Project management experience and the ability to motivate and develop cyber security team members.
