Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; hybrid workplace.

Salary: $175,000–$220,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end preparation and filing of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements, and Section 16 filings.
• Ensure compliance with Regulation S-X, Regulation S-K, and applicable SEC disclosure requirements.
• Build and maintain the SEC reporting calendar, disclosure controls and procedures, narrative disclosure workflows, tie-outs, and supporting documentation.
• Research, evaluate, document, and communicate complex US GAAP and SEC reporting matters.
• Administer the DFIN ActiveDisclosure platform and collaborate with the CFO, Controller, Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and external auditors.
• Mentor accounting staff and support reporting impacts of M&A, debt offerings, and other material transactions.

Requirements

• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including significant public company or Big 4 experience.
• Hands-on experience managing SEC reporting and preparing 10-K and 10-Q filings.
• Proficiency with DFIN ActiveDisclosure or a comparable SEC reporting tool such as Workiva.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX financial reporting controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and process-building skills for a dynamic, high-growth technology company.
