MCPP Philippines: Communication Lead Technician (Communications Systems)

Location: Initial training and onboarding in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by placement in Subic Bay, Philippines.

What you will do

• Install, operate, maintain, and repair electronic and data/communications equipment and systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute communications systems maintenance activities in accordance with the contract Statement of Work and Marine Corps procedures.
• Coordinate repairs, adjustments, servicing, storage, equipment readiness, and maintenance shop organization.
• Train technicians and provide guidance on communications systems maintenance.
• Inventory repair parts and equipment, review requisitions and invoices, and arrange replacement stock and supplies.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and equipment layouts while complying with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree or coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and relevant experience.
• At least five years of progressive experience in communications systems maintenance and logistics support, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience with cost and schedule controls, performance monitoring, report writing, program planning, and customer interface.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret security clearance and pass an FBI background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a work visa and Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines, and hold a valid state motor vehicle driver’s license.

• USMC MOS 2841 or 2862.
• Marine Corps policy, regulation, and order knowledge.
• Industry certification, automation and scripting experience, and military storage procedures knowledge.
• Expertise in maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
