Business Systems Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY (Hybrid: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in-office required)

Salary: $166,000 – $185,000 per year (for San Francisco)

What you will do

• Redesign end-to-end cross-functional processes for Foundations business teams to improve speed and consistency.
• Architect multi-system workflows spanning Notion, Slack, email, and internal data platforms.
• Embed AI into business processes with clear human-in-the-loop patterns and auditability.
• Build and maintain custom agents, skills, and runbooks to automate intake, triage, and reporting.
• Instrument workflows to track success metrics like cycle time and adoption.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and Engineering to drive adoption and change management.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in operations design, product operations, or business systems.
• Proven ability to design complex workflows including states, permissions, and auditability.
• Hands-on experience with process mapping, journey maps, and service blueprints.
• AI fluency: experience building with AI assistants, agents, or workflow automation.
• Ability to build lightweight automations using APIs, webhooks, and integration tools.
• Must be able to work from the San Francisco or New York office on Anchor Days (Mon, Tue, Thu).

Nice to have

• Consulting background in technology, process, or digital transformation.
• Experience designing internal tools or developer platforms.
• Familiarity with data concepts like schemas, event tracking, and operational analytics.
• Expertise in the Notion product.
