What you will do

• Manage a high-performing vehicle fluids analysis team and align work with program milestones.
• Define, scope, schedule, and resource analyses supporting vehicle and propulsion hardware development.
• Provide technical guidance to component, systems, propulsion, operations, and guidance, navigation, and control teams.
• Perform thermal-fluid calculations and develop CFD models for compressible, incompressible, and multiphase flow systems.
• Analyze propellant management, fluid dynamics, thermal stratification, complex manifolds, components, and feedlines.
• Validate models, quantify uncertainty using literature and test data, and mature internal tools for ascent, in-space, and reentry flight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience across at least one aerospace vehicle program lifecycle.
• 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams delivering hardware on complex, cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated mentoring and technical leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language for scientific computing and automated test or simulation data analysis.
• Experience with 1D modeling of compressible and incompressible flow using hand calculations or fluid network analysis tools such as GFSSP or FloCAD.
• Experience architecting and executing CFD tools and workflows such as STAR-CCM+, Fluent, or FLOW-3D to inform hardware design.

Nice to have

• Experience building volume-of-fluid or internal compressible-flow CFD models.
• Experience developing simulation toolsets and workflows, including for high-performance computing.
