Sr. Software Development Manager (Aerospace)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $197,004.00–$275,805.60 annually

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.
• Drive the supply-chain technology roadmap for material movement and receiving.
• Present strategic initiatives to vice presidents and other executives.
• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers on technical architecture.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and launch of manufacturing, scheduling, planning, and execution software.
• Own complex, multi-year workstreams and improve software development processes, productivity, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience leading software development projects from inception through delivery.
• Experience applying AI to business problems and software development.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, development methodologies, distributed backend systems, and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee. Willingness to travel up to 10% is required.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or supply-chain experience.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace compliance and regulatory requirements.
