Sr. Software Development Manager (Aerospace)

Base pay for Washington applicants: $197,004–$275,805.60 per year; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers while fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Drive the supply-chain technology roadmap for Material Movement and Receiving Technology.
• Present strategic initiatives to VPs and other executives.
• Collaborate with Senior and Principal engineers on technical architecture decisions.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and launch of manufacturing, scheduling, planning, and execution software.
• Own complex, years-long workstreams and improve development processes, productivity, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Track record of leading software development projects from inception through delivery.
• Experience applying AI to business problems and software development.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, development methodologies, distributed backend systems, and cloud environments such as AWS.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or supply-chain experience.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace compliance and regulatory requirements.
