Industrial Design Intern (Robotics): Developing physical designs for Memo, a home robot, from early concepts through refinement and mass-production readiness with an accent on sketching, CAD, prototyping, and CMF exploration. Focus on building and iterating 3D-printed prototypes, evaluating samples with manufacturing partners, and solving design challenges for consumer robotics products.
Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site

What you will do
- Develop industrial design concepts and thoughtful product solutions with designers and engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and refine designs based on feedback.
- Communicate design ideas through sketching and CAD.
- Build and iterate physical prototypes using 3D printing and other methods.
- Contribute to color, material, and finish development and evaluate samples with vendors and manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in sketching, form development, and 3D modeling.
- Proficiency with Rhino, SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar CAD tools.
- Experience with 3D printing and hands-on prototyping.
- Experience with KeyShot or other rendering tools.
- Good aesthetic judgment, attention to detail, collaboration skills, and a proactive approach.
- Interest in robotics, consumer products, and home technology.
