Industrial Designer I-IV

Location: Greenville, North Carolina, United States; onsite at the Warehouse Product Development Center

What you will do

• Develop design concepts for new and existing industrial equipment with engineering, product, manufacturing, customer, and supplier teams.
• Communicate ideas through sketches, renderings, 3D models, and physical mock-ups.
• Refine visual concepts while balancing appearance, usability, ergonomics, safety, and manufacturability.
• Create decals, graphics, and warning labels supporting product branding and safety requirements.
• Maintain consistent design themes across product families and review concepts for materials, production methods, cost, and feasibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design.
• 0–5+ years of relevant experience developing designs for physical products, equipment, vehicles, or manufactured goods.
• Strong sketching, rendering, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D design tools for concept models, drawings, renderings, and presentations.
• Understanding of ergonomics, human factors, usability, safety, materials, manufacturing processes, cost, quality, durability, and producibility.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, manufacturing, supplier, and customer-facing teams while managing multiple design priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in lift trucks or a similar industry.
• Experience creating product graphics, decals, labels, or visual branding elements.
