Sr. Global Operations Trade & Compliance Manager

Location: San Mateo, California, United States. Independent authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual OTE: $160,000–$210,000 USD

What you will do

• Optimize global shipping methods, routes, delivery matrices, fulfillment costs, and service levels.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across distribution hubs, including inventory movement and order fulfillment.
• Lead customs clearance and review commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and export documentation.
• Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and other logistics partners while monitoring vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, tariffs, trade agreements, product certifications, hazmat requirements, and country-specific rules.
• Develop fulfillment roadmaps, support new market launches, improve processes, and collaborate with product, engineering, finance, legal, fulfillment, and customer service teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of supply chain management experience, including at least 6 years in international logistics and customs or trade compliance.
• Deep knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, trade agreements, and multi-country import/export compliance.
• Experience with customs clearance, commercial documentation, 3PLs, customs brokers, freight forwarders, hazmat shipments, and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
• Fluent English, strong analytical and project management skills, and experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with logistics management systems such as CampusShip, eFactory, SFDC, SAP, or similar.

Nice to have

• Spanish proficiency.
• APICS CSCP or equivalent supply chain certification.
• Customs broker license or equivalent trade compliance certification, such as C-TPAT or FMC certification.
• Experience with high-tech hardware manufacturing, e-commerce fulfillment, transfer pricing, tax optimization, Mexico customs regulations, and rapid-scale operations.
