Supply Planning and Logistics Manager

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and monitor the movement of materials to factories, from factories to global warehouses, and manage Asia Distribution Center operations and the importer of record function.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, factories, and suppliers across Asia.
• Provide logistics instructions and solutions for import and export operations, including the movement of dangerous goods and other materials.
• Coordinate with global demand planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and other teams to maintain inventory levels, ensure timely delivery and quality, and resolve material and volume issues.
• Analyze logistics cost per unit, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and other KPIs, providing insights for strategic supply-chain planning.
• Identify and implement manufacturing and logistics strategies in Asia to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize supply-chain disruptions.

Requirements

• At least 8–10 years of experience in logistics and planning.
• Very good knowledge of import and export operations and a solid understanding of China’s customs regulations.
• Substantial experience with bonded-zone logistics and very good experience with warehouse operational processes.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contract manufacturers and strategic suppliers, including high-volume hardware production and material movement.
• Experience with global customs compliance and moving dangerous goods and other materials without impediment.
• Experience with internal IT systems such as NetSuite, Arena, Confluence, and other workflow tools.
