TL;DR
System Engineer (m/f/d) (Azure/Kubernetes): Maintaining and improving Azure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes container platforms for business-critical healthcare applications across Europe with an accent on reliability, security, and scalability. Focus on AKS operations, Terraform-based infrastructure automation, CI/CD and GitOps optimization, and resolving complex infrastructure incidents to their root cause.
Location: Hybrid work in Kleve, Germany, or Utrecht, Netherlands

What you will do
- Maintain and improve Azure cloud infrastructure and EU Kubernetes container platforms for reliable, secure, and scalable business-critical applications.
- Support Azure Kubernetes Service, ingress, networking, storage, container registries, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle activities.
- Maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and improve infrastructure automation and standardization.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, Helm charts, GitOps practices, and artifact management.
- Resolve critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application platform issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and project teams while maintaining technical standards, procedures, and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure administration, cloud engineering, DevOps, or support of business-critical systems.
- In-depth experience with Azure Kubernetes Service or on-premises Kubernetes platforms, including Helm, ingress controllers, networking, storage, and application deployments.
- Exceptional Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, source control, GitOps, monitoring, logging, performance optimization, and security vulnerability management.
- Experience administering Windows and Linux servers, TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and Rancher.
- Professional proficiency in English is required. German and additional language skills are considered a plus.
Nice to have
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, or other artifact management tools.
