Application Engineer/Administrator

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, and support applications in production and non-production environments.
• Monitor application availability, performance, capacity, and usage while tuning services for continuous improvement.
• Handle incident, change, release, and problem management activities.
• Automate recurring administration procedures and provide installation and technical support documentation.
• Create application procedures, troubleshooting guides, and backup and restore plans.
• Maintain the technical knowledge base supporting ICT operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in mid-sized or large IT infrastructure environments, including application deployment, support, and maintenance.
• At least 5 years of application administration experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with microservices, container orchestration, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• At least 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch, including Elasticsearch cluster deployment and administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft or Linux server solutions, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Rancher, configuration management, shell or PowerShell scripting, and ITIL processes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of DevOps, relational databases such as MS SQL or PostgreSQL, and Kong API Gateway.
• Experience with public or hybrid cloud services, including Azure or AWS.
• Relevant certifications in the listed technologies.
