Senior Linux Engineer

What you will do

• Deploy, maintain, and improve the stability of Linux servers supporting trading applications.
• Operate bare-metal systems, containers, and on-premises Kubernetes clusters across European and US data centres.
• Monitor infrastructure for faults and performance degradation, communicate technical issues to trading teams, and investigate root causes.
• Design and test new hardware, kernels, and operating systems.
• Manage centralized storage arrays supporting data pipelines and build and maintain databases.
• Use open-source tooling to improve platform visibility, automation, resiliency, and supportability.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting medium-sized distributed Linux environments using RHEL and Debian.
• Experience working with geographically distributed colleagues and coordinating changes across diverse technical teams.
• Strong understanding of filesystems, networking, and kernel internals.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and self-service, ideally using Python and Ansible.
• Exposure to containerization and virtualization technologies.
• Pragmatic, evidence-based approach to troubleshooting and technical decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience running and supporting large distributed data storage platforms.
• Knowledge of NFS, S3, iSCSI, and TCP over NVMe.
