Supervisor, Oncology RUO (cfDNA/NGS)

Location: Onsite in San Carlos, California, United States; shifted schedules such as 7am–4pm, 11am–8pm, or 7pm–3am may be required, including occasional weekend shifts.

Salary: $82,300–$102,850 USD per year, plus additional compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise daily scheduling and execution of cfDNA extraction, library preparation, nucleic acid QC, and NGS workflows.
• Work hands-on with the laboratory team to maintain sample-processing throughput and operational precision.
• Provide technical guidance on data interpretation, troubleshooting, process deviations, and corrective actions.
• Lead process development and method or instrument testing to improve laboratory scale and reliability.
• Draft, generate, and review SOPs and work instructions while maintaining records in spreadsheets and LIMS.
• Present data-backed updates on team activities, project milestones, and timeline adherence while collaborating with Oncology RUO groups.

Requirements

• BS/BA in biological science or an equivalent field.
• 3–4 years of related laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with nucleic acid isolation, purification, quantification, amplification, and hybridization capture.
• Experience with rigorous pipetting, laboratory automation platforms, library preparation, and NGS platforms.
• Proficiency with LIMS, database software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Must work onsite in San Carlos and pass a post-offer criminal background check. HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training must be completed within the first 30 days.
