What you will do

• Conduct high-complexity molecular testing supporting the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases.
• Perform clinical testing in accordance with CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.
• Troubleshoot assay performance and operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform quality control checks and report deviations promptly.
• Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies.
• Assist with training new employees as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of NGS, LIMS, library preparation, sequencing QC, instrument operation, run setup, contamination control, batch processing, data QC, and assay troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures and work with potential exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
• Clear oral and written communication, collaboration, precision, and adherence to quality standards.

Nice to have

• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification.
