Procurement Director (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office; based in Richmond, British Columbia, Chilliwack, British Columbia, or Mississauga, Ontario. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: CAD 130,000–145,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute procurement strategy across Canadian manufacturing and distribution sites.
• Protect margins, improve cost competitiveness, and align procurement with business growth.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, category strategies, and supplier performance management.
• Manage supplier, geopolitical, commodity, concentration, and supply disruption risks.
• Develop business continuity, dual-sourcing, contingency, raw-material coverage, and hedging strategies.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance on sourcing, innovation, food safety, and margin improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of procurement experience, including 7+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience in FMCG, food, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with procurement risk management and business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of global supply markets, commodities, food safety, and supplier compliance.
• Strong ERP and SAP experience.
