Software Engineering Manager (Gaming)

Location: Reno, Nevada, United States; onsite role

Salary: $112,000–$208,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day activities of engineering and technical artist teams, ensuring milestones, delivery commitments, and quality expectations are met.
• Own and improve the software development lifecycle across requirements, prioritization, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers and technical artists while managing staffing, performance, career development, and succession planning.
• Use AI and internal development tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and software quality.
• Establish and improve engineering metrics, processes, and system health indicators.
• Partner with QA, Platform, GDK, Server, product, and program management teams to deliver gaming products and manage technical risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineers and 5+ years of experience as a software developer or subject matter expert.
• Experience building, motivating, and retaining high-performance engineering teams.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams and communicating technical information to varied audiences.
• Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to articulate product vision, evaluate tradeoffs, and assess scalability, maintainability, and feasibility.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Gaming regulatory approvals, background screening, fingerprinting, and applicable licenses or registrations may be required.
