What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Analytics to drive the Purchase roadmap from technical design through implementation, testing, and measurement.
• Champion AI-forward engineering practices, including integrating AI coding assistants and agentic workflows into daily development.
• Lead the transition to fully agentic programming paradigms by setting expectations, removing blockers, and modeling the mindset shift.
• Define and deliver consumer-facing AI experiences, collaborating to build intelligent, personalized features at scale.
• Manage scope, estimation, and prioritization using Agile; decompose initiatives into small units and drive incremental delivery with a bias toward shipping.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management or a technical lead role.
• Strong backend foundation with deep comfort in architecture discussions, system design, and trade-offs, especially in Java/Spring environments.
• Experience with distributed systems and data layer design.
• Strong enthusiasm for AI and agentic development; ability to set a vision and guide engineers through cultural and technical change.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing AI features or products (conversational or agentic AI experience is a strong plus).
• Strong project management skills with Agile methodologies; ability to drive clarity and incremental progress in ambiguous environments.
