TL;DR
Lead Logistics Analyst (Aerospace/Defense): Developing logistics strategies and optimizing material movements for U.S. defense, aviation, and commercial programs with an accent on import/export compliance, freight programs, and supply chain coordination. Focus on improving delivery performance, reducing logistics risk and total costs, and maintaining compliant logistics procedures across multiple locations.

Location: Remote or onsite at hirify.global offices in the United States, including Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C. Domestic travel of up to 10% annually is required. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Salary: $101,600–$132,000 in Syracuse, West Lafayette, Orlando, Grayling, and Auburn Hills; $111,700–$145,200 in Bristol and Cranston; $121,900–$158,500 in Ashburn, Washington, D.C., and Quincy.

What you will do

  • Develop logistics strategies for U.S. locations supporting defense, aviation, and commercial programs.
  • Establish, maintain, and optimize global material movements with material handling, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams.
  • Develop freight and freight-forwarding service provider programs with supply chain and material handling leadership.
  • Evaluate logistics structures and improve deliveries, receipts, outbound freight, risk management, and total cost.
  • Monitor materials from origin through final delivery and coordinate with planning, supplier program managers, 3PLs, brokers, government agencies, and suppliers.
  • Develop logistics SOPs and ensure compliance with logistics, import, and export procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics, with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with import and export compliance, customs regulations, domestic and international logistics, and freight program development.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Oracle.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, organizational, attention-to-detail, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent requirements and collaborate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance; selected applicants may undergo a government security investigation.
