Learning and Development Consultant

Location: Remote within the United States, with travel to customer sites as needed. Travel may be required up to 35% of the time.

What you will do

• Develop detailed knowledge of the company’s business, systems, customer processes, and program operations.
• Perform needs analysis and create effective training plans for software and technical training.
• Design, develop, and maintain customized curricula, presentations, and user guides.
• Deliver in-person and virtual training and coaching to external customers using adult-learning techniques.
• Build customer relationships, collaborate with project teams, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate training outcomes, incorporate feedback, and improve the training experience.

Requirements

• Experience in instructional design and hands-on development of training materials.
• Strong consulting, analysis, problem-solving, planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Excellent adult facilitation skills and experience delivering web-based or virtual training.
• Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Training, and Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Office 365.
• Eligibility for a federal security clearance is required.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time and work remotely within the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing and delivering learning and development solutions.
• Experience with AI-assisted content development tools and Power BI or other data visualization and reporting tools.
• Business analysis, project management, and customer service experience.
