Technical Maintenance TML Officer (Defence Maritime)

What you will do

• Provide technical assurance for SA TMLs and support the burn-down of activities across annual and five-year work plans.
• Contribute to programmatic assurance reporting across Annual Work Plan stage gates 1–6.
• Review and monitor AMWL and TML activity burn-down.
• Monitor stores demands and deliveries before and after equipment maintenance periods.
• Work with Ship Leads, Supply Support teams, and Defence stakeholders to assess risks and improve sustainment outcomes.
• Embark on Royal Australian Navy ships for periods in support of Capability Life Cycle Management activities.

Requirements

• Minimum vocational education and training qualification in Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in assurance and Defence maintenance roles.
• Experience in project and contract management.
• Working knowledge of naval systems, including CMT-U and AMPS.
• Active Baseline Defence Security Clearance is required; only candidates with Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
• Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.

Nice to have

• Engineering diploma, maritime competencies, or trade skills.
• Experience as a Defence Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent.
• Experience leading contracted planned maintenance and breakdown activities.
• Working knowledge of MILIS and NAVALLOW.
