Maintenance Planner and Scheduler

What you will do

• Develop, schedule, and optimize preventive, predictive, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance work orders.
• Prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality, production requirements, available resources, and business needs.
• Coordinate technicians, contractors, tools, equipment, materials, and storeroom readiness for planned work.
• Plan outages, shutdowns, capital projects, major repairs, inspections, and equipment installations.
• Analyze equipment history, condition-monitoring data, maintenance metrics, and reliability trends.
• Prepare inspection findings, condition assessments, repair or replacement recommendations, and reliability improvement plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience in maintenance planning, coordination, reliability support, supervision, or a related industrial maintenance role.
• Experience supporting plant outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, major maintenance, capital projects, and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and industrial process systems.
• Experience with CMMS platforms for work orders, scheduling, asset management, and reliability tracking; PeopleSoft is preferred, with SAP, Maximo, Oracle, or Infor also considered.
• Strong planning, analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

Nice to have

• Experience in power generation, waste-to-energy, resource recovery, pulp and paper, chemical processing, manufacturing, industrial utilities, or other continuous-process environments.
