Senior Technical Services Manager

Location: Primarily based onsite at the data centre in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

What you will do

• Oversee critical environment maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, repairs, change management, incident management, and safety procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and train Technical Services Managers while managing site facilities providers, vendors, contracts, and OPEX budgets.
• Manage operational readiness for construction, installations, commissioning, witness testing, and new data centre capacity.
• Maintain SOP, MOP, EOP, risk, safety, environmental, and operational documentation, ensuring compliance with accreditations and local regulations.
• Manage customer data centre services, including connectivity, power, deployment, capacity planning, and emergency escalation.
• Track operational metrics and risks, conduct property inspections, manage minor capital projects, and improve power utilisation and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of mechanical and electrical experience in data centres, facilities, engineering operations, semiconductor, trades, or related fields.
• Electrical or mechanical trade background or degree, with solid knowledge of data centre power, cooling, fire, and security systems.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia required; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local statutory regulations and experience preparing MOPs, maintenance reports, incident reports, RCA reports, budget reports, and O&M manuals.
• Experience managing third-party service providers, operational metrics, contracts, pricing, customer relationships, and small technical teams.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams and deliver effective presentations; familiarity with BMS, CMMS, customer portals, and CAD is an advantage.
