Equipment Maintenance Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the sustainment, reliability, and continuous improvement of more than 150 deployed test systems.
• Resolve production-stopping issues, quality escapes, yield-limiting faults, and other mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, hydraulic, and power-distribution problems.
• Manage maintenance requests, inspections, activities, and documentation through the Maintenance Management System.
• Maintain configuration integrity, run correlation tests, and support equipment handovers and customer updates.
• Lead spares procurement, obsolescence management, replacement planning, upgrade packages, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Support risk assessments, Lockout/Tagout activities, lean improvements, and internal and external quality audits.

Requirements

• HNC, HND, or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in aerospace, test systems, or industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and engineering judgement skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Visio.
• Willingness and ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
• Flexibility to work occasionally outside standard hours for critical maintenance.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-axis, closed-loop, servo-hydraulic, or electromechanical test systems.
• Familiarity with JIRA, MMS, NX, AutoCAD, or LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation systems, aerospace quality standards, and maintenance processes.
• Experience working with customers or cross-functional global teams.
