Underwriter III - Real Estate Banking

Location: PA - Pittsburgh (15222), United States; in-office position

Base salary: $86,250.00–$172,500.00 per year, plus incentive eligibility based on company, business, and/or individual performance.

What you will do

• Prepare loan offerings, risk ratings, scorecards, and portfolio analyses for real estate transactions of varying complexity.
• Analyze credit quality, collateral strength, financial worthiness, and risks associated with loan and transaction parties.
• Recommend credit structures and credit decisions, or make decisions directly within assigned authority.
• Gather and validate information from internal and external customers and clarify missing or inconsistent data.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Coach or review the work of other underwriters and provide management coverage when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of credit decisions, financial analysis, underwriting, risk assessment, and critical thinking.
• Knowledge of IRS Code Sections 42 and 47, equity structures and documentation, market research, onsite inspections, market comparable analysis, and third-party guidelines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not provided.
