Senior Market Lead - Sponsor Finance Coverage

Location: Miami, Florida, United States; hybrid work with on-site and remote activities as required by business needs

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location; eligible for incentive compensation and a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Acquire and develop strategic private equity sponsor relationships and generate new business.
• Screen assigned sponsors against quantitative and qualitative relationship criteria and perform ongoing diligence using references and data sources.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships by understanding sponsors’ portfolios, funds, objectives, and future opportunities.
• Identify and support credit and non-credit opportunities, including opportunity screening, deal structuring, negotiation, and fulfillment.
• Collaborate with commercial relationship managers, leveraged finance underwriters, and credit officers during analysis, approval, and portfolio management.
• Maintain CRM tracking, pipeline forecasts, sponsor reviews, and market intelligence while strengthening CIBC’s presence in the sponsor community.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leveraged finance experience.
• Proven experience developing and managing commercial banking client relationships.
• Expertise in loan structuring, business development, credit quality management, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and valuation techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; commercial banking training is desirable.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States at the specified location is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
