CNC Machinist III / Senior - B Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global Headquarters. Second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m.

Base pay: $35–$50 USD per hour for California.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe and mill machines to produce flight-ready hardware.
• Read and translate engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Work with CNC programmers to maintain required tolerances.
• Provide feedback on work instructions and reduce quality or engineering non-conformances.
• Recommend improvements to batch sizes, machine setups, and tool selection.
• Track calibration and maintenance for equipment and tooling.

Requirements

• For CNC Machinist III: 5+ years of CNC lathe and mill operation experience.
• For Senior CNC Machinist: 8+ years of CNC lathe and mill operation experience.
• Experience with dual-spindle, live-tooling lathes and 5-axis mills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T requirements.
• For U.S. office roles, must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, admitted refugee or asylee, or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations under ITAR.
• Must work the specified second shift, remain available for occasional communication outside working hours, and work extended hours or weekends when needed.

Nice to have

• NX CNC programming and manual programming experience.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience and 5-axis CNC setup experience.
• Experience with DMG Mori machines, including DMU 50/85/125 and NLX 2500–4000.
• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Celos controls or bar feeders.
