Security Control Assessor (SCA) I (Cybersecurity)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado — onsite workplace. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required; willingness to submit to a CI polygraph is required.

Salary: $129,813–$158,815 per year, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

What you will do

• Assess management, operational, and technical security controls for Collateral, SCI, and SAP information systems.
• Conduct assessments using the Risk Management Framework and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide.
• Evaluate authorization packages, security documentation, threats, vulnerabilities, authorization boundaries, and proposed system changes.
• Prepare Security Assessment Reports, initiate POA&Ms, and provide written authorization recommendations to government officials.
• Evaluate continuous monitoring plans, hardware and software security impacts, sanitization procedures, and SDLC compliance.
• Support compliance inspections, cybersecurity incident response, and customer inspection teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience, including at least 3 years in SAP, SCI, or Collateral information systems security.
• Prior experience as an ISSO and ISSM.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or an associate degree plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• IAT Level 3 certification such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, or CISA, or IAM Level 1 certification within 6 months of hire.
• TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to submit to a CI polygraph.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds; willingness to travel 10–25%.
