TL;DR
Director of Engineering (Healthcare): Leading multiple product engineering pods to deliver high-quality web applications and integrations with an accent on technical execution, team scaling, and AI-assisted SDLC practices. Focus on standing up iterative development pods, coaching engineering managers, aligning architecture and CI/CD standards, and managing delivery across complex healthcare software.
Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do
- Manage delivery across multiple product engineering pods and ensure predictable, high-quality releases against roadmap commitments.
- Stand up and scale new pods around iterative, agentic, loop-based development, defining team composition, cadence, and ways of working.
- Partner with Product Management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into executable work with clear context and constraints.
- Maintain hands-on expertise in technical design, coding, deployments, architecture, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Coach engineering managers and senior engineers while driving hiring, performance management, and career growth.
- Report delivery health, velocity, risks, and escalations to senior leadership and promote AI-assisted SDLC tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading engineering managers or senior technical leads.
- Experience standing up or restructuring pod-based or iterative engineering teams and shipping complex customer-facing software at scale.
- Strong technical judgment across modern architecture, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices, with Azure preferred.
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#, TypeScript, and/or Python.
- Experience with web applications, integrations, modern JavaScript frameworks, REST APIs, SQL, and software development teams.
