Systems Engineer III / Simulation Integration Support (Autonomous Systems)

Location: Hybrid on-site in Beavercreek, Ohio, with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Minimal travel of 0–20% and standard working hours.

What you will do

• Support the planning, development, integration, operation, and evaluation of autonomous systems simulation environments.
• Perform simulation analysis, requirements development, and systems engineering activities.
• Coordinate integration of USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects with government, industry, operators, engineers, and acquisition professionals.
• Develop integration plans, interface definitions, verification strategies, and test approaches for autonomous systems.
• Execute simulations under relevant operational conditions and scenarios to evaluate system effectiveness and suitability.
• Assess technology maturity, develop integration strategies, support acquisition planning, and communicate technical recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
• Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.
• Familiarity with requirements management, test management, and defect tracking tools, including GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus, and JIRA.
• Hands-on experience building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications with Docker and Podman.
• An active Secret clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Top-Secret clearance.
• 3+ years of flight-test experience as a discipline engineer or test conductor.
• Experience supporting Air Force fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems programs.
• Experience with NGTS or DIADS simulator software.
• Knowledge of digital engineering, modeling and simulation, DoDAF, UAF, or MBSE.
