TL;DR
Systems Engineer III / Simulation Integration Support (Autonomous Systems): Planning, developing, integrating, operating, and evaluating autonomous systems simulation environments with an accent on requirements development, interface definition, verification strategies, and test approaches. Focus on executing operational simulations, coordinating USAF open architecture programs, and assessing the maturity and effectiveness of autonomy capabilities.
Location: Hybrid on-site in Beavercreek, Ohio, with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Minimal travel of 0–20% and standard working hours.

What you will do
- Support the planning, development, integration, operation, and evaluation of autonomous systems simulation environments.
- Perform simulation analysis, requirements development, and systems engineering activities.
- Coordinate integration of USAF open architecture programs and autonomy projects with government, industry, operators, engineers, and acquisition professionals.
- Develop integration plans, interface definitions, verification strategies, and test approaches for autonomous systems.
- Execute simulations under relevant operational conditions and scenarios to evaluate system effectiveness and suitability.
- Assess technology maturity, develop integration strategies, support acquisition planning, and communicate technical recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in autonomy development, autonomous systems integration, AI/ML systems, robotics, or advanced mission systems.
- Experience with DoD acquisition or military aviation programs.
- Familiarity with requirements management, test management, and defect tracking tools, including GitLab, Artifactory, Nexus, and JIRA.
- Hands-on experience building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications with Docker and Podman.
- An active Secret clearance is required.
Nice to have
- Top-Secret clearance.
- 3+ years of flight-test experience as a discipline engineer or test conductor.
- Experience supporting Air Force fighter, unmanned systems, or advanced mission systems programs.
- Experience with NGTS or DIADS simulator software.
- Knowledge of digital engineering, modeling and simulation, DoDAF, UAF, or MBSE.
