Program Manager (Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

What you will do

• Lead program execution across cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, resources, and customer requirements.
• Develop program plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, metrics, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, operations, logistics, supply chain, quality, finance, contracts, and business support teams.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for status reporting, issue resolution, reviews, and strategic engagement.
• Manage program risks, opportunities, corrective actions, subcontractors, suppliers, and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate system development, integration, testing, production, deployment, sustainment, proposals, and follow-on growth activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, program management, systems engineering, aerospace, defense studies, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience managing or supporting defense, aerospace, government, or complex technical programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through development, integration, production, testing, and deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage program cost, schedule, technical performance, risk, financial execution, and customer communications.
• Familiarity with government contracting requirements, defense acquisition processes, Microsoft Office, and program management tools.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA in engineering, business administration, program management, or a related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent program management credentials.
• Experience with weapon systems, defense platforms, rapid prototyping, systems engineering, lifecycle management, EVMS, IMS, and milestone reviews.
• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance, prior military service, or experience supporting U.S. government agencies.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, subcontractors, and supplier networks.
