Program Manager III (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite or hybrid based in Reno, Nevada; the posting also lists Folsom, California and U.S. remote salary ranges. Travel up to 25% within the continental United States.

Base salary: $120,400–$197,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage all phases of aerospace and defense program execution, maintaining scope, schedules, budgets, and project-level profit and loss.
• Develop and review program management documentation, including monthly status reports, program plans, CDRLs, and PDR/CDR materials.
• Coordinate engineering, production, manpower, facilities, and subcontractor resources to meet program deliverables.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve program risks and issues in collaboration with Voyager management.
• Serve as the primary customer contact and participate in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving sessions.
• Support proposals for follow-on work and ensure adherence to internal program management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of program management experience, including seven years managing Department of Defense propulsion-related programs.
• Direct experience owning Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Master Plans, and Earned Value Management.
• Experience managing large subcontracts and programs for U.S. government customers.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, and hold a current DoD Secret Clearance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience managing rocket propulsion defense system programs or Missile Defense Agency programs with MAP/PMAP requirements.
• Experience briefing executive management and customers on program status, risks, and future plans.
• Experience with Integrated Program Management Tools and basic knowledge of solid rocket motor design and operation.
