What you will do

• Manage all branch activities, including customer experience, employee experience, digital engagement, transactions, servicing, and sales.
• Direct sales and business development to achieve branch profitability, operational objectives, and annual goals.
• Coach, develop, and manage branch staff, including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and other staffing decisions.
• Grow Retail and Business Banking relationships through customer needs analysis, proactive outreach, outside calling, and community engagement.
• Own complex account servicing and error-resolution issues and ensure timely resolution of customer and employee concerns.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and maintain operational, security, compliance, audit, and fraud-prevention controls.

Requirements

• Branch Manager experience in a retail banking environment.
• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or proven leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, profitability, and client relationship management.
• Ability to coach teams, build client relationships, drive sales, and communicate effectively across the organization.
• Maintain SAFE Act federal registration requirements and complete required Business Banking Specialist and insurance licensing expectations.

Nice to have

• Precision Leadership Certification and M&T Way Certification.
• Bi-lingual Spanish communication skills.
• Strong financial services product knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
