Loan Specialist - Scott AFB, IL (VA Loans)

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, United States

Base pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour; commissioned role with estimated annual gross income potential of $50,000–$100,000.

What you will do

• Interview borrowers, collect and verify documentation, and explain the VA loan process and available products.
• Process borrower credit information through online approval systems and analyze information for pre-approval or denial.
• Respond to borrower inquiries by phone, email, and other communication tools.
• Communicate future documentation needs, including income and asset information.
• Provide customer support throughout the loan journey while following company and industry guidelines.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and participate in AI-assisted call review for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an outgoing, customer-focused approach.
• Ambition, energy, self-motivation, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Comfort using PCs and basic computer technologies.
• Must obtain the required license before starting; prior licensing is not required when applying.
• Previous mortgage experience is preferred but not required.
