Loan Specialist (VA Loans)

What you will do

• Connect with borrowers, understand their homebuying goals, and guide them toward suitable VA loan options.
• Review credit and financial information to match borrowers with appropriate lending solutions.
• Explain each stage of the loan process, answer questions, and help borrowers secure strong rates and terms.
• Manage the borrower pipeline, organize follow-up, and maintain a smooth application experience.
• Communicate with borrowers by phone, email, and other communication tools; business calls may be recorded and reviewed with AI-assisted technology for coaching, quality assurance, compliance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to keep loan applications moving.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain loan options clearly and supportively.
• Integrity, accuracy, dependability, and care when handling borrower information and documentation.
• Ability to solve problems calmly, take ownership, follow through, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Mortgage experience is helpful but not required.
• NMLS licensing is required; support is available to obtain the license after starting.
• Daytime specialists work normal business hours with some evenings and weekends; Flex specialists must work two evenings per week until 10 PM and at least 32 weekend hours per month.
