Senior Director, EE Sourcing and Materials

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, or remote in North America; travel to hirify.global offices and domestic and international supplier locations is required, up to 25% of the time. Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Base salary: $203,000–$254,000 per year, depending on location, qualifications, and experience. Bonus, equity, and benefits are not included.

What you will do

• Lead the global electronics sourcing, component engineering, and materials management organization.
• Define sourcing and commodity strategies covering supplier diversification, capacity assurance, cost, quality, and component lifecycle management.
• Direct supplier engagements, including technical roadmap reviews, commercial and contract negotiations, price discussions, audits, and risk assessments.
• Own electronic BOM management, should-cost modeling, value engineering, and strategic material purchases.
• Lead materials planning for NPI builds and mass production, improving visibility into availability, inventory liability, end-of-production status, and excess and obsolete exposure.
• Build and mentor a global, multi-site team while representing sourcing and materials priorities in executive-level decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience across electronics sourcing, materials management, or supply chain, including substantial electronic component industry experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership position managing a global team of 10–20 people.
• Experience with analytical and problem-solving techniques such as should-cost modeling and buffer strategy design.
• Excellent English communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural global environment.
• US work authorization is required, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% is required.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in high-tech or a similar industry.
• Mandarin language skills.
• Experience with SAP, Arena, e2Open, Power BI, Google Suite, or Excel.
• Experience using AI to improve ways of working.
• Leadership based on subject-matter expertise and credibility.
