Sr. Director, Production Operations (JAX, FL - Hybrid)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a large global production operations organization across application support, service reliability, incident management, operational governance, and service delivery.
• Own stability, availability, performance, resiliency, and service health for business-critical Back Office platforms using KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs.
• Lead major incident response, crisis recovery, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis, problem management, and permanent corrective actions.
• Partner with product, technology, infrastructure, security, client support, and business stakeholders to align operations with platform roadmaps and client commitments.
• Strengthen change governance, release risk management, rollback planning, disaster recovery, automation, observability, monitoring, and proactive alerting.
• Modernize support models, develop leadership talent and succession plans, and manage operational capital needs for software, hardware, and consulting services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technology operations, production support, infrastructure operations, or a related discipline, including senior leadership of large-scale teams.
• Experience supporting mission-critical platforms in financial services or another highly regulated technology environment.
• Experience leading 24x7 production operations, major incident response, service reliability, operational governance, and client-facing escalations at scale.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem, change, release, disaster recovery, business continuity, operational risk, controls, and audit readiness.
• Experience with APIs, middleware, batch processing, databases, containerized workloads, cloud-native services, and high-volume transactional systems.
• Technical fluency in AWS, Azure, hybrid infrastructure, container platforms, networking, load balancing, DNS, certificates, storage, backup, restore, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and AIOps.

Nice to have

• Experience with operating model transformation, production support modernization, and global follow-the-sun models.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, access controls, SOC controls, third-party platform oversight, and regulated-environment requirements.
• Working knowledge of DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, scripting, runbook automation, deployment automation, and self-healing operational patterns.
