Sr. Director, Cloud and Infrastructure Transformation

Location: United States — New York — New York City. Hybrid attendance at NY Headquarters is required an average of 2.5 days per week or as business needs require. Travel: 10–20%.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100, plus a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Define and execute a multi-year cloud and infrastructure transformation strategy aligned with business and scientific priorities.
• Lead modernization across multi-cloud platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, networking, data centers, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud architecture, operations, security, resiliency, observability, and infrastructure modernization.
• Establish technology roadmaps, engineering standards, operating models, and cloud-native practices.
• Partner with Digital, Security, Research, Business, architecture, and engineering organizations to deliver enterprise transformation.
• Lead and develop Directors, Senior Managers, architects, and engineering organizations while influencing executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in cloud, infrastructure, networking, platform engineering, or related functions.
• Proven success leading enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure transformation programs and production environments.
• Deep expertise in public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, with a strong foundation in architecture, networking, operations, automation, and security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu, DevOps, observability, resiliency engineering, and modern operating models.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States by any employer. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, advanced analytics platforms, high-performance computing, scientific computing, or large-scale data science workloads.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
• Advanced degree or industry certifications in cloud architecture, engineering, security, or infrastructure platforms.
• Experience leading global organizations and enterprise migrations, data center exits, platform modernization, or mergers and acquisitions.
