Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Mexico City; candidates are asked whether they are based in Guadalajara or CDMX. The role is currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is a Series B fintech building an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot and financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., including cross-border remittances powered by AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable backend microservices for the Consumer Lending team.
• Design and manage secure infrastructure handling millions of daily requests with strong performance and reliability.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and industry-standard tools into distributed financial systems.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units to deliver financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Use user feedback and system analytics to improve platform capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent or advanced English required.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Experience designing web services and REST APIs, with a solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursements, security, compliance, or KYC/AML processes is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer credit, lending, or loan-related products.
• Familiarity with the listed technologies, including Python, Flask or FastAPI, Redis, SQL, gRPC, React, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Curiosity or experience in fintech and equivalent competencies in related areas.
